Nathan proudly attended Owensboro Catholic High School. After graduating, Nathan moved to High Point, NC where he began performing music, releasing multiple albums and earning the 2010 Indie Charts Independent Artist of the Year Award. In 2010, Nathan began working at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home, the home his father-in-law has operated the last 55 years, where he served as General Manager. Megan had grown up in the funeral home. She began working at the family's home at a young age and quickly took hold of this life of service. Both attended the University of Kentucky and mortuary schools, Mid-America and Arapahoe, respectively. After marrying in 2012, Megan and Nathan saw a great need in the funeral industry; exemplary care. All are deserving of such care, no matter who they are or what backgrounds they had come from. In 2015, they formed Morris Family Homes, which is devoted to acquiring and continuing to implement the exceptional service communities in Kentucky and Indiana have grown to expect from the most incredible of people. "We are here. We are invested in the community. We realize your family deserves the absolute best and will never settle for anything less." Together, Megan and Nathan have two children; Anderson, 4, and Everett, 3.
Staci Blake Executive Vice President of Operations
Staci Blake serves as the Executive Vice President of Operations & Marketing. She was born in Elwood, Indiana, and was raised in Southern California. She received her Bachelor in Business Administration Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Staci is a sales professional with demonstrated success exceeding sales quotas, managing, training and supporting teams, and driving organizational growth and profitability for small and midsized companies. Her other areas of expertise include direct sales and marketing, public relations, product training and placement, and related functions. Staci brings extensive experience in funeral care to Morris Family Funeral Homes including positions in market sales management, organizational expertise, process analysis, marketing strategies, budget oversight, and preneed service development and sales.
Dr. Jonathan Eric Carroll KLPC Licensed Pastoral Counselor-in-Residence
Dr. Jonathan Eric Carroll is a Kentucky Licensed Pastoral Counselor (KLPC), a member of
the Kentucky Association of Pastoral Counselors, an Adjunct Professor at Louisville
Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and is a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral
Counselors. He is the Pastoral Counselor-in-Residence at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, where he offers Grief Counseling and facilitates The Good Grief Group, a monthly group counseling opportunity open to anyone who is living with grief and who desires to grow in
and through the experience of it. He is also the founder and lead therapist at The Clinic @ The Montgomery, a counseling center located in downtown Owensboro, Kentucky.
Dr. Carroll is a graduate of Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary (D.Min), Princeton
Theological Seminary (Th.M.), Columbia Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and King College
(B.A.). His post-doctoral studies took place at the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family
in Georgetown, Washington, D.C., the institution responsible for the continuation of the
work of Murray Bowen, whose Family Systems Theory has become the lens through which
Dr. Carroll practices therapy in his private practice.Dr. Carroll engaged in further post-doctoral studies at the Kentuckiana Pastoral Counseling Consortium, a training center of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors (AAPC).
Gary Harris Managing Funeral Director
Gary Harris, is a licensed funeral director and embalmer who has been caring for and serving families in the funeral profession for over thirty years. Gary is the managing funeral director for Miller-Shapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, Kentucky.
Gary received his funeral service degree and National Board Certificate in 1988. Originally from New Jersey, Gary has served funeral homes in New Jersey and Hardin County, Kentucky, before arriving in Hartford. In addition, Gary has been named a Qualified Mortuary Disaster Coordinator by both the National Funeral Directors Association and FEMA.
Gary has received recognition from the National Funeral Directors Association, the Pennsylvania and New York State Funeral Directors Associations, and the French Consulate for his service alongside families struck by the devastating consequences of the US Air Flight 427 and the TWA Flight 800 plane crashes.
Gary's work has been not only in serving families at their time of greatest trial, but also to assist, educate, and equip law enforcement communities in mortuary science and the management of incidents of mass fatality. Gary is a former Senior Medicolegal Death Investigator with the Camden County, New Jersey Medical Examiner’s Office. He is a longtime member of Lions Club International. He is currently an active member of the Hartford-Beaver Dam Lions Club.
Gary lives with his wife, Dawn, in Utica, Kentucky. Together, they are the parents of two adult children, Katherine Ann Harris-Bethmann and Gregory Thomas Harris.
Gary is honored to serve the residents of Hartford and Ohio Counties as well as Morris Family Homes as the Managing Director of Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home.

Brandi grew up in a small town of Northern Louisiana until her senior year of high school. Brandi moved to Indiana and graduated from Mooresville High School in 2005. After graduation, she moved to Evansville to attend the University of Southern Indiana, from which she received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Management in 2009. After graduating from USI, Brandi attended Vincennes University from which she received an Associates degree in Mortuary Science in 2010. Brandi and her husband were married on March 11, 2009. They have twin boys, Elijah and Ezekiel.

Whitney is a Caneyville native. She graduated from Butler County High School in 2008 with a Comprehensive Diploma. She then attended Western Kentucky University before pursuing her true passion at Mid-America College of Funeral Service, where she graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Mortuary Science, and obtained her National Board Certification. After serving her apprenticeship at J.C. Kirby and Son Funeral Chapels in Bowling Green, she successfully became a dual-licensed embalmer and funeral director in 2015, both titles she proudly holds. Whitney has also attended the advanced embalming techniques seminar at the Vernie Fountain National Academy for Reconstructive Surgery in her never-ending pursuit of excellence in the serving of her profession and community. She is a member of the Caneyville Church of God of Prophecy, and began working at Haley McGinnis in 2017.

Cindy Street Family Service Advisor
Cindy has a Masters of Social Work degree from the University Of Louisville - Kent School Of Social Work. She served as a community based family social worker with the State of Kentucky Cabinet for Human Resources followed with Seven Counties Services in Jefferson County from 1984 until 1997. She then transitioned into the Human Resources field within the lodging resort industry with Vail Resorts properties in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming and Breckenridge, Colorado. She is both SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified. Cindy returned to Kentucky in 2007 as the Director of Human Resources for the Hyatt Regency Lexington. She joined us in 2017 as our Family Services Advisor, supporting and guiding individuals preplanning their Life Celebrations.

John is a graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School. After high school, John attended the University of Kentucky, where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Economics with a Minor in Philosphy. John joined the Haley-McGinnis family in 2014, where he serves as a Funeral Director. He and his wife, Kayla, welcomed their son, John Sullivan, May 31, 2017. John is an avid gamer and enjoys reading and science fiction.

Lisa, a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, joined the Haley McGinnis Family in September 2017. She has 20 + years of experience in the administrative and accounting fields. She and her husband Gary live in Owensboro and have 4 children and 4 grandchildren.

Danny M. Schapmire In Loving Memory
Danny Schapmire was born and raised in Hartford, Kentucky. He graduated from Hartford High School in 1963 and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer having graduated from the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science in Louisville in 1966. In June of 1966 Danny Schapmire co-founded Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford.
They have two sons, Marty Schapmire of Louisville and Chad Schapmire of Nashville and two grandchildren, Lily Grace and Nicholas Martin Schapmire. Danny was very proud of his heritage, the families of Ohio County and the trust placed on his family for more than 50 years. A man who spent a lifetime celebrating Ohio County, is forever celebrated by those who love him.
Randall and Barbara Dike
Randall K. Dike is Past President of Holders Funeral Home. His career started in Vincennes while he was in high school working for Brockman Funeral Home. Randy then attended Vincennes University and graduated in 1975 with a business administration degree. Mr. Dike finished his studies at the Indiana College of Mortuary Science in 1976 in Indianapolis and began to work at Holders on October 11, 1976.
Barbara Dike is Past Secretary- Treasurer of Holders Funeral and has helped in all phases of the business. They are continuously committed to Owensville and the families who call this place "home."
